Volunteer
Our Volunteer Corps is the pillar that holds up the heart of The Ritz Theatre Company. Whether ushering our shows, selling 50/50s and concessions, painting sets, sending out mailings, planning parties, or serving on our Board of Directors, our dedicated volunteers—of all ages and from all backgrounds—truly make The Ritz go ‘round.
Join “Friends of The Ritz”!
“Friends” is the theatre’s official volunteer wing who give their time and talents to support The Ritz Theatre Company. Operating the concession stand, running the 50/50, hanging posters in local towns, organizing fundraisers, and planning opening night parties and special events are some of the many activities they are involved in throughout the season. If you’re looking for a hands-on way to support the arts (and meet some cool people), please call (856) 288-3500.
Serve as an Usher!
One of our more popular volunteer opportunities is ushering at The Ritz. Ushers are needed for our mainstage productions and special events. Duties include collecting tickets and seating patrons in the theater. If you are interested in ushering, please call (856) 288-3500.
Join our Board of Directors!
The Ritz Theatre Company actively seeks members for our committed and hardworking Board of Directors. Do you love live theatre? Would you like to help keep the arts alive in our region? Do you consider The Ritz to be an asset to the health of our community? Does it drive you crazy that some locals don’t even know The Ritz is here? If you answered yes, then we want to talk to you!
We’re always seeking professionals with the following experience: legal, accounting, marketing, strategic planning, financial, development, human resources, community relations, and much more. The Board meets every other month. Board members are elected for a three-year term. If you’re interested, please email Board President Dianne Jackowski at Dianne.Jackowski13@gmail.com.
…Have other ideas about how you’d like to help? We’re game! Just call us at (856) 288-3500 or email Producing Artistic Director Bruce A. Curless at Bruce@RitzTheatreCo.org.
